Any registrations after April 1st will incur a $25.00 late fee and an automatic volunteer buyout of $25.00 for a total of $50.00.

Western Springs Lacrosse Day at will take place on March 4th 2012 from 11am to 5pm at the Lombard store.

Non Travel (House) League for boys in grades 3^rd thru 8^th . Not ready for the travel league or just want to stay close to home? Lacrosse continues to be a growing sport and the recreation department continues to provide children that are interested in lacrosse a place to call home for both inexperienced and experienced players. The focus of this program is to teach sound lacrosse fundamentals and practice good sportsmanship in an environment where everybody plays.

Practices

Practices for 3rd - 8th will be 1 day per week from 6pm – 7:30pm at spring Rock Park starting week of April 8th ending May 31st. Saturday, April 14^th is a practice. Time tbd.

Games

Games for 3rd thru 8th are on Saturdays between 12pm – 6pm starting April 21st and ending June 9th (no game on May 27th Memorial Day weekend). Schedules will be posted in April.

This is a parent/volunteer run program that depends heavily upon your involvement. All families are expected to participate as volunteers. There are many volunteer opportunities that are available and sign-up is available on Registration Days. A list of volunteer positions is available here. Volunteer buyout is $25.00.

Volunteer Coaches are needed!! No experience necessary. Newcomers encouraged!!! Don’t be intimidated—WILL TRAIN!!! Coaching Clinic provided. March 11th from 11am - 1pm at the Western Springs Recreation Center.

If you wish to rent lacrosse equipment. True Lacrosse will be handling rental equipment. Please pre register with True Lacrosse thru the following link. You would need to create a user name and password and pay the rental fee with this link. It does say to pickup rental in Elmhurst but we will have rental pickup at the Western Springs Recreation Center on March 15th at 6:30pm for all orders placed with this link. When entering your order please state Western Springs as the location. A $200 deposit check is required on pick up day, that will be returned once the equipment is returned.

Lacrosse continues to be a growing sport and the recreation department continues to provide children that are interested in lacrosse a place to call home for both inexperienced and experienced players. Lacrosse Equipment required for boys: Lacrosse stick, mouthpiece, lacrosse helmet with face guard, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, soccer or football cleats and cup.
