Boys 8th grade Travel Team for Spring 2012

Western Springs Lacrosse Day at Dick's Sporting Goods will take place on March 4th 2012 at the Oak Brook store. This entitles everyone with the coupon on the link below and additional 15% discount for a total savings of 25% with coupon and anything else in store 15%.

The Western Springs 8th grade traveling team is for kids looking for a step up to a more competitive level. 

New for this year - travel teams will be gearing up to US Lacrosse guidelines for age brackets. What this means is teams will be formed by U15, U13, U11, and U9 formats.  

New for this year - 8th grade A Team will have head coach Tim Duffy - Team USA All Stars Head Coach, 2010, World Games Gold Medalist, Chicago Machine, Team UK, Ohio State University, Current Fenwick Varsity Coach

Depending on number of  kids registering will determine the number of teams we will have for 8th grade.

    Registration begins on December11th from 11am - 12:30pm or December 13th 7pm - 8:30pm. Please contact Pam Florczak pflorczak@wsprings.com  if you want us to email  you registration info for 2012 Spring lacrosse when it becomes available.

  • All registered travel players are also registered automatically in our house league and are expected to fully participate in  House League practices and Saturday afternoon House games. 

  • Player commitment is very important. The team counts on everyone participating in all the practices and games as a team.

  • Practices on Jan 21st & 28th will be held at Darien Sportsplex from 4:30 - 6:30pm.

  • Evaluation tryout placement will be on Feb 4th and will be held at Darien sportsplex from 4:30 - 6:30pm

  • Teams will be determined after the Feb 4th evaluation.

  • Practices starting on Feb 11th at Darien Sportsplex. Time tbd.

  • Practices will be outdoors starting in April (dates to be determined) and typically 1-2 days per week.

  • Games will start April 14th (typically on Sundays and some weekdays or Saturdays) and season will continue until mid June.

  • Presidents Tournament

  • Rip the Duck Tournament will be held in South Bend in April 27th thru 29th

  • Tentative Waverly Tournament in Lansing, Mi. in mid-May.

  • Western Springs 6th Annual Tower Tournament will be on Saturday, June 2nd, 2012

  • Late fee of $50 after Feb 4th

  • No refunds after season practice begins
